Ok so I have 2 electronics books, both do a terrible job at explaining things. I want to do a hands-on kit. Something super simple. I want to build a simple audio amp with either a transistor or two, or an op amp. Can anyone give me any links or anything? Thanks!

if you want to experiment get the tech spec books from some chip makers.... there are always cool projects in the back and if they think your serious they'll often comp you some parts for the asking...

What exactly do you want to build....Like a Guitar Pre amp/Effects Pedal. or a Mic pre-amp or a Power amp or a Guitar/Bass amp , a PA , or active monitors ect....

There are many electronics sites on the net like:

www.prodigy-pro.com/

http://gearslutz.com/board/geekslutz-forum/

http://www.redcircuits.com/

http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/

http://www.epanorama.net/links/audiocircuits.html

and there are many more.....

If you have anything specific in mind then let me know as I have a Pretty huge Schematic collection so I might have one that you might be able to use.....
