I was reading the february magazine and found a review about SONAR 4. I found something that got my attention, the writer called take manager improvement, I said what??. After reading the review I understand that I was doing something wrong. I always arm a new track every time I want a new take. The article says that you can manage your takes using only one track How do you that???.

Thanks

take management

If you right-click on the track and make sure the the Show Layers option is checked, then when you record to that track in Sound on Sound mode, it will create a new "lane" in that track with the new clip. You can then mute/solo at the clip level to create comp tracks. It's pretty slick stuff actually. Enjoy! :)

Edit: It's also an option when Loop Recording.

Great!, I´ll try it at night when I get back home. I have a session tonight.

Thanks

What about midi recording, it´s possible to do the same???.

Yes. Same story. Also, try looking up "RECORD OPTIONS" in the on-line help file.

Ciao,
