Electronic kit

I have gone from a 1500 ft facility to just 380 sqft. I really do not have a room capable of doing good live drums and going into a decent studio to do is fairly expensive so I am looking for a good electronic kit that can record well and still have an acoustic kit feel.

I think I would want a minimum of 8 outs to record to the DAW and the capability of accessing drum kit samples I have from quite a few different sources.

I am not a drummer but those of you who are can you suggest a decent 2nd hand kit I can get to full fill these needs?

I think the Roland TD10, 12 and 20 give 8 outs... The TD8 only had 6 if memory serves...
As for having a good acoustic feel, the best I have played were the Hart Dynamics Series and, right now, my Boom Theory Spacemuffins are incredible!

Of course, no matter what brain you end up with, you're prolly not going to be too thrilled with the cymbal sounds...
 
The TD-8 only has 4. Main L/R and 2 direct out's. If I absolutely MUST record the module's audio, which I havent for years, I put snare/kick on the directs, and toms and cyms (all pre-mixed of course) in the stereo master out. If you don't wanna spring for a high-end module like that, just record the midi instead and use ezdrummer, battery, steven slate, etc. FAR more flexible when it's time to edit and mix.
