Hi Guys,
I just purchased an Electro Voice 676 microphone. It currently has an Amphenol MC4M to 1/4" plug cable on it. The cable has a short right at the 1/4" plug. So, I want to cut the cable above the short and wire a 3 pin XLR connector instead.
The 676 is wired for low impedance so only pins 1,3 and 4 are hooked up on the MC4M connector.
Through my research, I've been led to believe that the following is the correct way to wire the XLR connector:
MC4M XLR
Pin 1 to Pin 1
Pin 3 to Pin 2
Pin 4 to Pin 3
Is this correct?
Any help is truly appreciated.
Thanks!
