Electric whistling when bass kicks in, HELP PLEASE

Problem is - When this bass kicks in on this audio there is some kind of (what I can only describe as) an electric whistle.
Recorded on a Tascam 424 MKIII. Converted onto Audacity.
Happens when the bass kicks in, what is it? how go I get rid of it?

Doesn't happen during playback through the monitors or head phones.
Just when I play back this converted audio.

I can hear a vague artifact on the bass. What effects do you have on it?

It maybe worthwhile just soloing the bass so we get it and nothing else. That might make it easier to hear what's going on.
 
I just used a compressor while recording it.

Thing is, plays back through monitors and headphones absolutely fine.

It is just after it is being converted into digital. So wouldn't it be something to do with the conversion thing. I dunno, I have no idea.

If you can hear it, do I really need to solo it?

I will do, but I'll have to do that when I'm home.

Just basically want to know what the hell it is, and how do I get rid of it.

Although I can hear it, I can't hear it clearly.

And others who might have some helpful suggestions might like to hear it as clearly as possible.

So you don't have to solo it. But as it is, I can do anything more than say I can hear it. Maybe others are more skilled than me might have more luck.
 
It's ok, it's been solved. :)

I needed to change the setting from 48000 to 41000. kHz

Thanks anyway. I have no idea with computers.
 
I'm just curious how this ended up in the Analog/Tape forum. :D
