electric guitar problems

Hey all,

I'm using Cakewalk Music Creator and I can record fine with my acoustic guitar but when I try using my electric guitar it sounds crappy and distorted. I'm recording everything through a Boss GT3. How can I make the electric guitar sound decent? Thanks and peace

It's not digital distortion? Try turning the output volume down on the GT-3.
