"Big Screen: test" first up

One of my big hangups is getting decent rock-electric guitar sound.

Here's a project in the making that I'd appreciate some feedback on...
Pan? EQ? Distortion level? Execution of ideas, etc.

The drums are midi...stock sample kit. no mix, yet, on individual pieces.

How does the guitar sound strike you? What could I do to make it a lot better..for those who do this a lot. It's an old Strat through a Line6 pod. I don't have a good amp to mic. You think it's absolutely essential? This is the best I can do with what I have...

i think the guitars sound fine. i listen to some stuff on your soundclick page i like some alot. my restless mind sounds like stevie wonder. there's other songs that remind me of the 80's easy listening stuff. it's nice. lol. not my style at all, but i dig it.

A 3rd feature guitar, and panned the L&R closer. With a scratch vocal to cue the arrangement. Hotter? Colder?
Also diddled with the kit eq.....

Do any of your wives do this? Or is it just mine? Should be titled:
