Effects unit?

hey guys - i've done a search but not much luck - so was wondering if anyone can suggest an effects unit which is inexpensive i.e. under £100

I had a look at the Virtulizer Pro by Behringer and from what i read they are shit so anything but behringer please...

Lexicon has a few nice boxes available... MPX 100 comes to mind, because I have one... They have better boxes available as well. Something to look into.

Well, £100 (I'm in the UK) so i guess thats $140 approx.?? I'm not sure on the exact exchange rate.

I've seen the the MX110 for £139

but cheaper the Alesis Microverb 4? anyone had any experience with one?

I'd suggest that you take a look on ebay. Look for used gear. There are several multi-fx units by Lexicon, Alesis, Samson and others. Most lexi gear is good quality even at the low end.
I've been in the business for 40 years and have never had a piece of rack FX go bad so you can't go wrong with hardly any of them. I've had a micro verb, and a quadraverb. both were ok. Alesis stuff tends to be a little noisey but not to the point of being unusable. It is a good value for the money.
