Effects questions

Hey guys...

Lets say that I have a rock song in which the vocal is very dynamic. I want the chorus and bridge to have flanger, but the verse needs to have plenty of reverb, and NO flanger. So I guess my question is this. How can I use 2 effects on the same track, but use them at different times in the song?? thanks a million,

What about using two tracks with same settings but different fx? I often use this if I want fx on just a few notes (e.g. reverb on just one snare hit)....

If you have cubase 5, you should read chapter 29 "mixing audio using effects". starting on page 472, the chapter details how to automate mixer tasks via the "read" functions on each channel in your mixer. If you do not have the manual, I can probably email the .PDF document of that chapter to you.
