I have a Roland Pre amp sending my vocal tracks to my Mia card (24 bit)and tracking on cakewalk.

The effects (reverb, delays etc...) in cakewalk arent very good, so Ive been trying to decide on whether to buy a multi effects processor or find some plug ins for cakewalk.

I was looking at Behringers Virtualizer Pro. Its only about $100 and thats about what i was looking to spend.

Id like to have a stand alone unit verses plug ins, but Ill go with whatever will get the job done, at a decent price. Ive played with a few demo plug-ins that I liked but they were like $150-$300 to buy for single effects, and thats too much for me...

Any Ideas or suggestions?

FYI...don't buy that Behringer, it sux! I have one that I bought for the same reason yu are thinking... it's cheap. You might be alright for live stuff but for recording forget it. You are right, good plugins cost some loot! But.. you can use one plugin for x amount of tracks all with different settings.. try doing that with your outboard effects! If you are stuck on outboard effects go to the Rack forum and ask about it. IMHO you might benefit more from some good plugins!

....if you still want the Behringer I'll sell you mine for like $40 in mint condition.
