I'm using PowerTracks, which unfortunately is not compatible with Direct X plugins. I tried running my guitar through my Digitech RP 7 but there was a noticeable difference in the noise level as opposed to "dry". Any suggestions on what to use for compressor, delay, etc.? I guess I'm really asking if there is any way to add these effects after the tracks are recorded even though PowerTracks does not support Direct X plug ins. Is Sound Forge XP something that will work for this, or is it only compatible with Sound Forge, etc.?

You could use something like soundforge, or cooledit or goldwave. Any wav editor that will allow you to import a wav file from Powertracks. Once in the wav editor(most of these support DirectX plugins, Soundforge for sure), you can add reverb, delay, compression - whatever the editor has built-in. After achieving the sound your after you can then reimport this back into Powertracks and your done. I'm assuming Powertracks can export to wav, and import wav.

You might try n-track, which does use DirectX plugins...
