I have Guitar Tracks 2 and would like to delete the 4 to 5 seconds of dead space at the beginning of some songs. TIA

I am not familiar with GT-2, but explore the cut - copy - paste features of your software.

As above mentioned, explore your cut and paste options. Do you have SoundForge? What I do is, if I have any "extra" space at the beginning or even at the end of a project, I leave it alone in CakeWalk. Instead, I export the project audio as a wave file into SoundForge. SoundForge is much easier to use than any program I've seen, as far as editing goes. I simply highlight the sound I want, and I can choose to completely cut it (delete it) or even fade in or fade out. I'll do some snooping of my own in CakeWalk to see if I can help ya more, but, that's all I have to offer for now =]

Based on the forum I assume you're using Cakewalk?

Open the tracks you want to delete from in the Audio view. Press and hold ALT while using the mouse to select the portions of audio (silence) you wish to delete in each track. Then press Delete to get rid of them.
