Hello,

Anyone out there have the UA-1x? I'm trying to confirm that it is able to covert sample rates. I pipe tracks out from the computer to a Fostex VF80...the VF80's optical input is set to 44khz. The UA-10D (which I currently use) only sends audio out at 48khz....which causes a problem.

The documentation for the UA-1x all says "up to" 48khz.....but I'd love some real-world confirmation.

Thanks,

It is my understanding that your interface comes with a set output rate of 48kHz. You'll have to contact Edirol to see if can be opened up an reset internally. It is not the correct interface for two-way S/PDIF/USB transfers between a computer and a 44.1kHz device like a VF. Why Edirol did things this way is a mystery to me.
