Resident Lolly
I just purchased the Echo MIA and I'm pretty new to the whole computer recording scene as well as the recording scene in general. I'm curious as to what equipment other MIA users use in conjunction with the card to get the sound quality they're happy with. Any volunteers?

I ask this because I've been trying to get a decent guitar recording with running my POD straight into the MIA, but I don't think the signal is strong enough. Even with the POD cranked all the way up, the volume barely hits the 'yellow' region in the Mia Console. I'm just looking for ideas on what I might need to stick in between the POD and the MIA.

.sk.

are you using Mia's mixer section to adjust the input signal?.....

Finally people are starting to buy the MIA... I'm waiting to hear about her... How is she???

I'm planing to buy it, but I'm waiting for the real user experiences...

So long I only spotted too MIA users Elbenj and you.... so others please but your experiences here so we could learn little more about the card...on paper she looks good but how is she in real life?

Elbenj reported me that he had some troubles recording 24/96 which sounds bad... but I'm waiting that it could turn out good??? I hope

Do you use AMD or Pentium?

Gidge:

Yeah, I've used the mixer section to adjust the signal but for some reason it's just barely hitting the yellow region with my POD turned all the way up. I'm not sure what the deal is there. The echo support people asked if I'm using a preamp....but I figured that's what the POD acted as seeing as it outputs at both line and mic levels, depending on what I choose. I'm baffled.

Riku:

I can't really tell ya how the MIA is yet as I've not been able to get a decent recording due to my signal issues. I wish someone would tell me what they use in conjunction with their MIA so I could get an idea what is SUPPOSED to work. I guess I just need to play around with it. As soon as I lay down a successful recording, I'll let you know what I think. Oh, and the answer to your question regarding processor....I'm using an AMD.
