Hi all,
Could you all help me with what i'm sure is a very easy question?? which if i had half a brain i could work out myself!
I have a small home studio set up with:
Cubase on PC
Breakout Box for soundcard
Controller keyboard
Sound module (Roland jv1080)
Mixer
Amplifier
Currently its set up so that:
- Midi Out on controller keyboard to Midi In on Breakout Box
- Midi Out on Breakout Box to Midi In on Sound Module
- Output on Sound Module to Mixer
- Audio out on Breakout Box to Mixer
- Main output on Mixer to Amplifier
If i want to record a Midi track to an Audio track in Cubase, am i right in saying that i have to simply connect the output from the Sound Module to one of the Breakout Box's Audio inputs??
I think that's probably right - sorry such a stupid question!
But also....
Is there anyway that i can have it permanantly set up so that i can record Midi to Audio from my sound module without having to change the wiring??
Would this involve using the Sound Module's throughput jack's??
Thanks in advance for any replies.
