Or create a four beat midi measure and loop it.

Actually, I was more intereseted in the method where you use a soft synth in a midi track and create it it with a standard kit, but I figured it out. Thanks for the reply anyway.

You can have the metronome use any sound source you have. It doesn't have to be a midi track.
