ear plugs with flat response, and healthy?

hey guys.
I am having a problem in my right ear, seems it was blown up by many rehearsals with the drummer at my right.
So, no loud sounds for a couple of months. In fact, very little sound at all. Tomorrow they'll tell me if it's permanent or not. Hope it comes out right.

Anyways, I tried to use ear plugs, but they are crap, I don't hear the highs and it feels odd. Besides, it hurts my ears.

Are there any good ear plugs, flat response and safe to use?

$175, is-pensive! But well, it's a valuable equipment, maybe the most valuable.
Looks like they're taylor made. Damn, I live far away from Anaheim.
 
Well, you could do a search for "flat ear plugs" or something on www.google.com and see what else you can come up with. Hopefully you'll find something that you could import.
 
The good ear plugs are expensive but you might as well protect the most valuable monitors you will ever own.
 
I use Norton Sonic II's. You can get them at any music store for like $15.

They don't just plug your ear - they have a tiny set of baffles that filter out all the really high and low stuff. I wear them at every concert - rehersal - club w/ loud music I go to.

My ears NEVER ring afterwards. If I'm far from the stage I loosen them up in my ears a bit so the sound is fuller.

Not a bad deal for $15....

I had a huge post of all the available stuff and resources for tinnitus in the Cave, but I cant find it now for some reason.
Try the Entymotic Research ER-20's, about $15 a pair...
Look em up, trust one that has terrible tinnitus.

You want at least 15db attenuation for a live rock band in a small room. Those ones someone listed above only give you 6 I beleive. The Er-20's have 20, which is pretty decent.
Custom fitted ones will do you best though, and its worth it.
