for those of you interested, I've posted two clips of my acoustic using a pair of Josephson e22S mics and a pair of mk012 mics.

both the e22S and mk012 were set up side-by-side (see picture) with one each below and the other above the strings, pointed at the body port and angled at the strings.

i think the mk012 held it's ground, but the e22S overall is more robust and airy.

Without even listening, the Josephson 22's damn well BETTER sound nicer than the Oktavas...

Not that the Oktavas don't sound pretty nice - I think everyone should have a pair or (several pair). However, they are what they are - A great buy, with reasonable quality control, mass produced, etc.

Josephsons, with hardcore quality control and that amazing, clear presence... Hard to forget... If I still recorded a lot, they'd be on my short list of must-have stuff. Actually, there are a few studios I should talk into getting pairs... That'll stop me from having to...

Thanks for the reminder! :D

[EDIT] Just listened anyway... I'm actually shocked at how decent the Oktavas sound against them... SHOCKED I tell ya'. There's actually a certain fullness in the lows that's nice & smooth... But you certainly can't argue with the presence and low clarity of the 22's... I'd probably just go with one of each! :)

it is amazing... the mk012's sound damn good. they don't have the clarity and depth of the e22S (which isn't really captured in the clip), but for less than $200 bucks for the pair, the mk012 is really worth the price.
