E.Q. Question

I have a DOD 430 QXLR dual 15 band EQ, and a DOD 231 QXLR dual 31 band EQ, Can I use these while recording into my pc through my mackie 1402 into wave pro 824,audiopro 9.0?
If the eq's can be used how should I set them? Is it better to use pre input eq?

I don't know how you're recording or what you plan to use the EQ for. If you want to use 'em on individual instruments, you'll probably want to route:
mic -> mackie -> insert send -> EQ -> insert return -> 8/24.

Personally, I keep EQ to a minimum while tracking and use decent parametric EQ plug-ins while mixing. If I do too much while recording, I can't undo it later... and things sound different with everything in the mix. An EQ sound I like while tracking might be ugly in the mix... I never know.
