anybody use this emu with cool edit?? i cant get it to reconize the sound card has anyone had the same problem and find the answer if so can you share that info with me?????
There is a FAQ buried somewhere on the E-mu site to tell you how to setup the Wave connections in the PatchMix thing. Wave is another name for the MME driver you need for CEP.
Until E-mu improve the drivers, you only get stereo with the Wave/MME with those cards.
I've just got the 1820m and didn't have any problems. Only thing to remember is to update CEP device settings / options. Even the smpte sync worked first time - which surprised me.
The only problem for me is as mentioned above: you only get one stereo output. Hope Adobe are working on getting Asio support in the next version of audtion....
