E-MU 1616M - I think I got a good deal...

I've been looking at a bunch of different audio interfaces and despite the learning curve on some of the software that accompanies the E-MU 1616M I decided that it might be worth a try. I managed to snag one off ebay this weekend. I was able to get it for $285 so I took a chance and I should be able to get my hands on it mid-week or so. I was leaning towards a FirePod which I may end up getting (in addition to this) later but for now this thing comes with a lot of software and some pretty decent converters so I'm going to give it a try.

If anyone has any tips, tricks or advice they'd like to share please feel free. :)

Not much more to it than just hooking up the cables and recording. :D I have the EMU 1212M and it's a great card, I imagine the 1616 is also (just more inputs? and possibly better quality components).

If it uses the same software mixer (PatchMix), you may need to ask for some help on that, it's a little confusing, at least on the 1212M.
