I'm considering both of these cards and am not sure what the differences are, in terms of converters and overall sound quality. I know that the EMU drivers are not that great, but that the converters are very good. The ESI Julia seems to be similar but with better drivers. I'm not sure about the converter or overall sound quality, and I don't really need the RCA outs or the reversible card functionality. I'll be using the card in my PC that I built for recording: Samplitude 6.0, DMP-3 preamp, two tracks at a time, demo stuff, etc...nothing fancy, but I want things to sound as good as they can given the (relatively low) cost involved.

Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated...
