E-mu 0404 Soundcard HELP!!!

Hey

I cant see al of the audio controls, e,g recording i can only see wav and i cant actualy change or select it. and playbac i can only see monitor out sw synth and cd player.

The reason i ask is i dont have a clue how to record into any program, because i cant actually select where the signal is recorded from. cubase wont pick anything up and asio4all says my card is beyond logic. ah!

Have you reinstalled the drivers?

Perhaps the control panel was not installed properly.

Have you looked at the manual?

Starting at page 82 they have a very clear description on how to set up Cubase for recording....

Okay, starting at the input, all inputs and outputs are through those cables on the back of the card, not through the pci slot like other Windows soundcards. I had to build my own input and output cables with 1/4" phone plugs and a 1/8" phone jack to my PC speakers. Input probably needs a pre amp or mixer to get the signal up to proper recording level, I use my Mackie 1202 for inputing.
Is it the Cubase LE that was bundled with the 0404 card? The manual is on your installation CD and you may need to register the program before it is fully usable, serial numbers are on your documentation. If this doesn't help I would re-install Cubase and register and hopefully all will work out for you!
