E-mu 0404 setup.exe is not a valid win32 application.

Taking the slow road
step #1 plug in pci card step

#2 run setup, and of course it won't run


(why did i bother trying this?) and the help desk is closed and on-line help sucks...
 
Remove card, disable any other soundcards, restart, shutdown. Re-install card, start computer. It should recognize the hardware.

You probably did that, huh?
 
Maybe you're running the wrong installation file?

If it's on a CD then you should be able to go to My Computer -> And right click the CD drive and click "AutoPlay" which should automatically launch the setup.

If it's off the hard drive (if you downloaded it from somewhere) then the setup file could be corrupt.
 
i searched the net for that error and came up with possible file errors

so then after some other programs didn't work either i got an i/o error

my cd/dvd/rw drive is giving my i/o errors, so it screwed up the file transfer of the setup program. i swapped it for an old cdrom drive and it worked.

it's the 3rd liteon i have, the other 2 are ok, so far, not sure the warrantee, pobably 3 monts....sucks
