Hi All. Just a question about e-drums on a guitar or bass amp. I have a Roland TD-4KX Drum set and was going to buy a Drum amp for it but I'm running low on cash at the moment and was wondering if I could get away with plugging it either into my Guitar Amp, a "Peavey Vypyr 30", or my bass Amp which I never use anyway, it's a Stagg 20 BA UK Bass Amplifier and says on the product description it has a High impedance instrument input. I've heard some people say never plug electronic drums into a guitar or bass amp as it will blow it up or cause damage and others saying it should be fine. I'd really appreciate if anybody knew if it was allright. I do intdend on getting a drum amp soon but for now I'd like to just use the amps I already have as I've just been playing with headphones right now.

Don't use a guitar amp!!! I have hd-1 and blew my guitar amp speaker up.. Get a little keyboard amp,

Use an acoustic amp, for acoustic guitars or mics if you have one. They're fairly cheap but a bass amp will make you're e kit sound really bassy and I don't think a guitar amp would handle the low frequencies from the kick drum especially at a louder volume. Obviously you're best using the drum amp when you get it.
But to be honest for the meanwhile you should be fine using you're bass amp aslong as it not too loud :)
