E 16 Calibration

There's a sticky thread on this in the analog forum. Obviously you need a service manual, calibration tape (MRL, a new one, a used one may have been recorded on Ampex tape which has gone bad), ac rms volt meter, oscilloscope, signal generator (which doesn't necessarily need to be a stand alone specialized piece of gear, a sound card may work for that..) The E16 AFAIK is a two head machine, which makes recording calibration a bit more difficult. FWIW, I've not yet attempted to do this on any of my decks, slowly acquiring hte necessary test equipment and slowly acquiring the necessary ---time.
