Hi!

I want to buy a new pair of monitors an have a max budget of $1000.00. My home studio is small (around 12' X 12') so I had the Dynaudio Bm6, Bm6a or Bm15 (passive - no budget for Bm15a).

Anyone has compared the Bm6 with the Bm6a or Bm6a with BM15? I have an Alesis Matica 450W per channel amp, so I am wandering if there a big difference between these active/passive models in term of: image, definition, punch, low end (I know active is always a better match for the same model - but more expensive since I already have the amp) I could have second hand passive Bm15 or Bm6 for a good price so I am wandering if it's a good investment since almost nobody buys these passive anymore...

Any suggestions? Thanks.

wouahhhhhh,
I'm very interested in your second hand option for BM15.
Could you give me your contact ?

regards

I use the Dynaudio Bm6 passives. They're wonderful. I power them with a Hafler P3000. That Alesis amp you have may be too powerful for the Bm6. Dunno.

Do not worry about feeding too much power to Dynaudio's they live on the stuff!!!
