Has any one here heard of this and what are your thoughts? I put this here as I think it is pertinent to this thread. If I am wrong, my apologies up front.

It's free, right? I have it.
Truth be told, I don't know squat about mastering or acceptable final average levels and what not,
but I did use it to compare my current mixes to previous mastered mixes just to get an idea of where I'm at.

Do you use it?

I use it mainly for loudness leveling. Just to make sure all of my mixes are near each other in volume. The dynamic range part is what seems interesting.

I have the dynamic range meter and a few questions. I assume it is primarily for mastering? I have some songs I am working on and the DR meter sometimes goes into the yellow depending on how I am tweaking my instruments and song mix. Should I worry about DR when in the mixing process? If so, what should I be attemtping to do?

I suppose it helps listeners visualize how compressed the music they're listening to is, but I find that my ears and standard meters tell me all I need to know.

It works well. I use it and am a member of the Pleasurize Music Foundation. Wish everyone were.

I have a Dorrough meter on my console that has the ballistics set for persistence. I like it but it still comes down to how I think it sounds.
