Look Mom, I can play!
This will have all of you experienced guys laughing, but I have downloaded a couple of shareware Dx plugins (Parametric EQ and a compressor - I have Direct X ver. 8). They are of course, not stand alone programs but how do I access them through HS2002? If not through HR2002, then how do I get to them? Thanks in advance for any help.

Your host application must support DX plug ins.
Check the manual in your application as how to access your DX plug ins.

Hmmm...

They should be in the FX list when you add add Audio FX to an audio track. I just bought HS2002 a couple weeks ago myself and have already downloaded some additional DirectX effects - they all show up under Audio FX.

Ahhhhh..........Now I get it (dumb cluck!)

The reason I couldn't access the DXi fx was.......because I didn't highlight the audio track I wanted to apply the fx to! (logical when you think about it....dies of shame and embarresment):o Thanx brzilian. Now I can see everything (Did I really download all of those sharewares?!?)

See you're from NY. I trust you guys in the US know the scale of feeling and support over here in the UK for all of you at this sad time.

Thanks

Thanks Paul.

Even though I do not personally know of anyone who was at the WTC on Tuesday, I have several friends who had "close calls" in NYC.

Its really hard to watch TV here and not feel that sinking feeling in your stomach and have your throat not tighten up. :(

Understood. This forum is a real community, a brotherhood of musos trying to get to grips with stuff. There are many talented people who post here. Makes me wonder if we shouldn't have a collaboration somehow. You know, a "song for the world". On the other hand, its just so hard to focus right now, we all have very heavy hearts.
