Anyone using a DVD burner to burn large files? I frequently have projects that are larger than 650mb and I am looking for a way to archive these large projects. Any suggestions?
When I was spec-ing the machine I'm currently building, I decided to include a DVD-burner for that exact reason. Don't have it yet though (still in the building process).
I record many different bands and musicians, and some project include huge project files with up to 30 tracks per song. I want to be able to store the master/project file offsite on one disk incase there is a fire or theft. Using a DVD means I can move from 650mb of storage to between 4-9 gigs of storage. I am curious as to how others are handling large file storage.
