Duplicate track problem

when I try cloning a track, it asks for events and/or properties....Im talking audio track, not a midi. I am highlighting the track I want cloned by the way.....but I get an error saying that there are no events in this track.....what I am trying to do is leave the orig track undesturbed so I can add effects like pitch shift and then blend the tracks .....I was using Powertracks before Cakewalk and it has the Duplicate tracks option. What am I overlooking here ??

Hi Mknight,

Is there data in the track that you are trying to clone? If so, then instead of cloning the track, set up a new track and then just copy and paste the data. That should do the trick.
