I have a motu mk3 hybrid and wanted to put some Duncan invaders pick ups in my guitar . I don't know if the interface would be able to handle high output pick ups such as those. Is there anybody out there that uses a motu mk3 FireWire hybrid and high output pickups preferably Duncan invaders?

The
invades don't really put out that much power. They just concentrate the power right around 1k, which tends to drive a tube amp into distortion sooner than a pickup with a higher resonant frequency. The motu will be fine, your ears might hat you because those pickups are really, really nasal sounding.

Why would you go with "high gain" pickups and plug into an interface? You can get any level you need out of any pickup recording this way. Any advantage you have from that pickup design goes out the window unless it is plugged into a tube amp.

Sorry I'm a newb when it comes to guitar. I'm am using guitar rig 4 and Logic Pro 9 to get guitar sounds. So your saying it doesn't matter if you have high out put pick ups because your using am sim software. I thought that the pick ups effect the to e or sound of the guitar.

What I meant was that the gain of the pickup doesn't matter in your case. the tone of the pickup does matter. As long as you like that tone, you.are in decent.shape.
