Hi folks. I was wondering does anyone know how to dump the midi from the Triton Le into a software sequencer? The one i have is acid pro 4.0. The reason i want to do this is so the computer can control the triton and i can record each track individually without having offbeat tracks when assembled. I tried just syncing the triton to acid, but for some reason the tempo was fluctuating causing the song to skip, even after playing with the latency. I tried programming a song in FL Studio and using a cheap midi keyboard of mine as a sound module then loading the midi file into acid and it worked perfect. I was able solo each track and record individually without problems. I'd rather sequence my triton tracks on the triton tho and just dump the midi. Is this possible?

Sure.

If your Triton will save a sequence in Standard Midi File format all you need to do is save that to a common data carrier --- floppy disc or CD or memory card --- that you have on both your computer and the Triton, then load it into Acid and approximate (or sample) the sounds you were using in the Triton.

If you want to sync them they both need to be set to send and receive either midi time code or midi clock and one needs to be the master and the other the slave, meaning you need put one in 'external clock' mode. It won't work just to set them to the same tempo and let them 'freewheel' because over just a minute or so the clocks will drift apart which is probably what you were having trouble with.

It's not as simple as just pushing a button and 'dumping midi', but once you get a system down it won't be too hard.

Thanks for the reply man! I tried using acid as the master and i set the triton sequencer to external and it was off. As far as the media, it uses a smart media card. So basically, if i go pick up a smart media card reader for my computer, i can get the midi sequence off the card and load it into acid? Cool! I know my local walmart doesn't have em but i'll check comp usa or best buy. Thanks man.
