Dump my FireBox and RNP for a Apogee Duet

Here is the deal folks - currently record 2 channels max in my home/hobby office studio. I record electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals (thats it).

Mics: Shure SM57, Neumann TLM103, some SDC's

I used to use Logic but downgraded to garageband 4 as it fits my bill fine.

I tried using the firepods pre's but they just didnt quite get me there so I picked up the RNP.

I move the setup around a bit and hate the two boxes/power supply/etc.

Will the Duet be as good to replace or enhance my capture capablities?

It will increase your sound quality. And with the integration with Garageband makes it pretty simple.
