Dumb question.

I'm getting popping noises when DI'ing bass using a VST amp sim. Is that a latency issue such as it being too low? Right now it's at 10ms.

If latency is in fact the issue what is it that processes latency? Ram, CPU, interface?

(I've had my mind off of recording for a while so I'm a bit rusty so take it easy on me )
