What's your opinion on this...

I have 512 of Kingston HyperX performance RAM. I want to add another 512.

For about the same amount of $$$ I could either buy...
A. Another stick of 512 HyperX and Not run Dual Ch. Mode http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820144112

B. Corsair 1G Value RAM cas2.5 Dual Ch. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440

There's the chance that the HyperX might still run in Dual CH. even though there not matched but if not would there be much difference in the Performance of 1G Performance RAM VS. 1G of Value cas2.5 RAM running in Dual CH.

Any other ideas?
Thanks,
B.

Huge performance gain ( memtest86 will tell you the available memory bandwidth and when i jumped to dual channel it most certainly went up didnt quite double but was definately another 60% higher) not sure what Mobo you are using however i have not had any issues using memory that arent the same brand or even the same size for that matter.. you mileage may vary....
Nforce 2 chipset here.... ( yes i know i need a new machine :) )

I have the same chipset :D It's a MSI k7n2 ultra. Well maybe that's what I should do then is just try another stick of HyperX. I was just told they needed to be matched... something about even the same Memory sticks may be made up of different parts if made at different times ect... I think it makes more sense that it would work.

Thanks Randy,
B.
