I am still haven't gotten the vocoder effect to work. I'm trying to use the vocoder with vocals. I need some ideas on how to get this to work. I'm about ready to give up. If anyone has gotten this function to work, please tell me what you used as a carrier signal, what inout you plugged it into, etc...

-Or-

Can someone advise me on a vocoder that works...

Thanks,

'SSsssup vice!!!!.........

Man, it' been almost 2 years since I used the vocoder patch on
the 1000Pro! But if I still remember, this is how you work the vocoder effect using a keyboard and mic as the "Vocod-Processor":
Connect a "Y" cable (rec-send) to the left channels of the 1000 and finally to your boards channel insert. Then connect your keyboard to either the channel's XLR or Mic input on your board.
Then connect the mic to the 1000's right channel input, patch into the vocoder effect ,spit some lyrics while fingering some keys and
presto,you're "vocoding"!!!
Some useful advice, depress the "VARIATION" switch on the 1000
and increase the effects parameters to no greater than 6!!! Anything higher than that and you will sound like Chewbacca the
Wookie from "Star Wars":D
Peace

Thanks,

I will check my settings I think I have been using the wrong variation setting...
