I want to buy a sound card, but don't want to worry about missing out on the cool FX plugins an capabilites because I didn't get a card with a DSP chip.

I already know that native plugins will tax my CPU, but I have a PIII 500, so it's not a problem. But, are there any cool programs that simply will not work without DSP?

I plan on upgrading. Will programs in the future require DSP?

Load up on RAM, keep a fast processor in your computer and I think you should be okay. If you can run about 8 plugins right now, why would you need any more?
