DSP and VST compatibility question

Hi ppl. Recently I've been looking for a DSP card for my PC. I need one that can handle VST's like Guitar Rig, Hypersonic, D'Cota and recource eating plugins like that. The problem is that most DSP cards only work with plugins specificly written for them. Does anyone know of a DSP card that can handle most VST plugs? Especially Guitar Rig, it eats 50% of my 1.7ghz pentium

2. Say there is no such cards, what are good cards in terms of compatibiliy? Cards that come with decent reverb and other plugins? I've looke at TC cards, but they are kinda expensive.

3. And last but not least, what are important factors that I should check out in a card specs before purchasing?

most of the DSP cards are propriatary
and most will be expensive for that feature
Look at converter quality in a card and options as far as ins and outs
