I don't have much software wise that supports it, simply because cool edit doesn't use it and I don't have sound forge anymore. So now im trying to figure cubase out, which is kinda hard without documentation. I can get the RCA inputs to work off the card, but the AX44 is so far a box of crap for me. The headphones work on it but nothing shows up on the software mixer in cubase. The only way I can record throught he RCA on the card is to map channels 17 and 18 to 1 and 2. This causes a delay between what I play and what is recorded. It also sounds like crap with distortion so far so I don't have the levels good, even though on my external mixer they are fine.
Overall its just annoying because I wanted a card that wasn't a sound blaster for recording (line and mix input suck). The RCA was nice, but the card with the AX44 was cheaper than the card alone. I really wanted to use the AX44 for when my friends are here so we can record. Most of the time I will be playing each instrument and recording and then putting it all together, which is fine for the RCA if I could get a decent sound.
I bet teaching 15 year olds how to drive a 6 speed would be easier than figuring cubase out. Maybe ill find an acrobat documentation file someday that will guide me through it.
