Hello. I am a pianist and I own SB Live Platinum and a MIDI Roland keyboard.
I am trying to record r&b type of songs.
However, since long ago, I just can't find an easy way for me to use percussion sounds as I want to.

I see that when I put a track to Channel 10, my keyboard goes into midi drum mode. Is there any other percussion voices other than that MIDI drum kit? I mean, I need good heavy bass beat, and I just can't find anything else than MIDI drum. Plus, is there any other sounds? All I have is different percussion sounds per every key, and same regardless of choosing "roland drum kit" or "general midi" from instruments window.

Can anyone pleeaase help me?!

purplepassion,

First, get some Sound Fonts. There's a lot of good drumkit sets for free at Hammersound:

Then, for your drum tracks, select the SB Live synth as the sound source instead of the Roland keyboard. Load up some Sound Fonts and select them as the bank. I don't know what kind of multitrack software you have, so I can't be too much more specific than that.

It's likely the Roland has more than one drumkit, too, but I can't really help you with that without knowing the details of how the set it up. The manual probably tells you how.
