drums..mixer...br-8

this is what i would like, whether its possible is different story....well, i would like to have a bass mic, snare mic, and two overheads all going through a mixer and into my br-8

the kick and snare can stay dead center....but for my overheads, i would like to pan one hard left and hard right....

can you gys please help me on how i would achieve this???
i really want to learn this technique so my recordings can advance, but i just cant get it myself
 
I would just pan the overhead tracks left and right. Is there something more complicated that I am missing here?
 
I have a BR-8 too. Now all I use it for is a pre-amp into my soundcard. You can run all that stuff into a mixer, bbut it's going to get recorded into one stereo track, so you'd better get levels set before hitting record. That's the problem with the BR-8. Not enough inputs.
 
if i want to record with a mixer into the rca inputs into the br-8, how do i record, just press record and play???
 
Make sure the input select is set to the line ins and it will work.

Watch your levels close as it's easy to clip on a drum kit
