I have Acid Music 2.0 and I have the RADS and Drum Tools loop CD's......

I cannot get the drum fills to lead into the loops and sound realistic.

It does the fill, then there's a delay, and then the drum loop starts.

How do you guys do it? This is really pissing me off.

Whew, been awhile since I used ACID music 2.0 - but I think it has this function:

Turn off grid snapping - this way you can freely move the fill around within the measure(s). It is best to do this when you are really zoomed in on the timeline. Also, have the loop playing alongside the fill (you can trim the loop later if desired) and have them next to each other. This way you can see the wave form of the looped beat and the wave form of the fill and match the beat accordingly.

Using those same sample discs, I have had better results when using more than one fill at the same time - but staggered a bit. You might want to try that. Another hint: Use the cymbal one-shots from the RADS disc - the ones that last a day and a half. The cymbal one-shots on the Drum Tools disc have a short, cut-off decay that is sometimes too noticeable, even with everything else going on in a tune.

Good luck!

Brad

Thanks man. I love Acid, and I love the tones, they beat a drum machine by a long shot. But this is one thing that really has been annoying me big time lately.
