Just trying to determine if it's too narrow (9ft)to fit a set in. The ceiling is low too at only 7&1/2ft (and angles down to 6&1/2ft).

I know the angled ceiling can be acoustically advantageous but will all diffusion and absorption in the world help to make it sound good because it's too aqward of a dimention? Or is too narrow to event squeeze a set it comfortably? Can the orientation of how/where the drums are setup yield nice results?

thx for any input.

Mykie,

In small rooms that are inherently bad sounding, you can apply absorption to eliminate the room sound and add a better sounding ambience electronically afterward. So worst-case you'll put absorption on all surfaces that are near the drum set and/or near the microphones.
