hey all,

i'm looking for sample playback hardware with a foot switch by which i can trigger several bits that i've pre-recorded and loaded seperately. i basically want to play guitar and sing and have looped sample beats playing simultaneously but i want to be able to shift through samples as i go along (my songs have several parts) whenever i choose.

i've tried the rc-50 boss looping station but that one has only 3 pedals per song, whereas i would prefer an option of something like 7. (also, all the looping stuff on the rc-50 i don't need, i prefer making my loops on my computer).

i know that there are lots of standard samplers that use keyboard keys but i need to do this with my foot and will only be able to switch to a new set of (7) loops once the song's finished.

maybe it's a lot to ask but i just hate dragging an extra person on stage just in order to hit a few keys whenever i want him to.

oh yes, any suggestions combining different samplers/pedals are okay, as long as it doesn't get insanely expensive.

thanks

hmm...i'm very curious about the response to this as well.

I have two suggestions I off the top of my head if the boss looper isn't doing it for you:

Line 6 Looper

ElectroHarmonix Multitracker looper

The electro is gonna run you more cuz you'll be forced to buy their foot controller, which is like $120 i think.

Of course if you have a laptop, i suppose you could rock some ableton live and trigger stuff with a midi foot controller...I saw some dude (sound tribe sector 9 maybe) do this

And then there are the roland sp series samplers - i suppose you could rig one of those up the same way...less compact setup though...

my two cents..
