What does THIS button do?
I'm thinking about buying DFH but I'm not sure exactly what I need to use it. Do I need to have something like fruity loops in order to utilize the the DFH software? Does it come with a sequencing software in it? I don't really want to use FL because I feel really limited with it as far as picking notes and whatnot. Is there anyway that I can write my drum tracks in MIDI and then assign it to DFH sounds and have it play the DFH instead of MIDI?
Also whats with the differences, DFH, DFH2, DFH Superior?
Thanks...

DFH2 is the under $100 version with only one bass drum, set of toms, and a few snares to choose from. Basically you're stuck with one kit, albeit a great sounding kit. It also has a built in sampler.
DFHS is a lot larger (32 gig) so I'm guessing it has a mass of different drums in it, and I think its made to run as a plug-in to other software. Its almost 300 dollars as well so.... thats what kept ME from getting it.

Drumkit From Hell consists of samples and audio loops of those samples, Drumkit From Hell 2 consists of samples and a soft-sampler (special version of KOMPAKT), and Drumkit From Hell Superior consists of samples and the Drumkit From Hell Superior software.

With DFH, you'll need a sampler. The other two versions are fully contained. In order to record tracks from any of them, you will need sequencer software.

Also, EZDrummer, basically a slimmed down DFHS with a new gui, will be out in a few months. It also has a midi pattern sequencer and will have available expansion packs. It looks like a good choice for home use.

If you're on the cheap, I'd skip DFH and go to DFH2 or wait on EZDrummer.
