Finally had some time to record my drums and re-try a double pedal I had given up on. Im recording in a basement so getting decent sounds has not been easy but, I think, Im getting better sounds as of late.

This is straight outta my board eq'd flat right into my interface, no fx, nothing panned just generally leveled.

This is me just goofing around, nothing special, no song or click, etc. Either these sounds are not too bad or i was so excited to have some time to myself to mess around that my ears and judgement went out the window.

Everything is close mic'ed and 2 overheads. Any CONSTRUCTIVE critisism is welcome.

On a side note Im looking to trade a pearl double pedal, eliminator, for a comparable dw...let me know.

out of a mix drums are so hard to judge. and if these are unmixed, that makes them even harder to judge.

I'd like to hear more bass in the kick, and a tighter sound from the toms, and more crack from the snare. but, that may all be doable with some mixing, and may not be necessary in a mix. I think drums benefit the most from mixing, so if it's unmixed who knows what it could sound like.

I know what you mean. I Guess I want opinions as far as, what I have can be worked with, or a good starting point, or start moving mics around again and start over. This is the best ive gotten so far. Im gonna snap some pics to keep as reference.
