hey, I recently made this recording of myself playing drums and I really tried to make it sound as good as I possibly could, the thing is that my equipment is NOT the greatest. I use:
Eurorack mx1604a mixer
audiophile 24/96 sound card
Pretty cheap Audix drum mics (can't remember the model number)
COol edit pro...
All in all, its about 800 bucks worth of stuff (alot for me
)
Let me know how this sounds, I'm fairly new to the world of recording (only 15 years old, I didn't have a job till recently so I couldn't afford this stuff)...i'm not looking for comments on the drumming itself (which is sloppy since i only cared about the sound, not the drumming), i'm more concerned with how can I maximize the quality of my sound without buying new equipment (at least in the near future)....thanks so much for any help...
(btw, i'm specifically looking for help on how to make that kick sound a little deeper, is it an eq thing?)
