Greetings-
Can anyone recommend their favorite drum programs? I have Fruity Loops and cannot get my head around it. Still using my trusty drum machine:-) Can anyone recommend a way to get me into the 21'st century?? An easier way? (besides getting a real drummer) I'm not into downloading loops...
Thanks!

I didn't think that it could get any easier than fruityloops until i found this program.

b.box

If this is too hard....give up.
Download the demo and buy it if you dig it. You can use your own sounds (samples) if you don't like the presets.

Good luck.:)

I'll check that out. The pain in the ass with Fruity Loops for me is this:
-How do I upload my own kits without having to load every channel again when I return to work on a beat?
-Can I string together parts more than the nine-part sequencer showing on the page?
-Beat lengths, beats per measure...I can't figure out the best setting.
So far, it's way easier for me to use my drum machine, althought I understand that Fruity Loops is cappable of way crazier and more complex jams.

Thanks!

Huh? Are you using the demo version? All of your samples/drumkits/etc should be saved with each fruity loop song. If you want to make a new drum kit, you can do that too. Here's some notes from Fruity:
"DrumKits here are just normal FLP files. The only advantage of putting them here is that they will be listed in the DrumKits menu in FruityLoops. DrumKits are put in the \Samples\DrumKits subdir (& not in the \loops subdir) so that the samples can be found more easily."

I don't understand this question.

-Beat lengths, beats per measure...I can't figure out the best setting.

Bar length 16, beat length 4 is pretty standard.

Meaning up in the right hand upper corner, in song mode. It shows room for nine beats. You pick from there to sequence a song...Can I string together more than that? And maybe I didn't save the samples correctly. Thanks!

oh yeah. There's a playlist where you can sequence hundreds of different patterns in any combination you want. View>Playlist, or the F5 key.

Doh! It's all so clear now... :-)
I appreciate your help! Ya know, drummers are a strange lot. Better to do it yourself :-)

Native Instruments' Battery - VST drum machine. It's brilliant. :D
