cool, here is my variance in style, first metal now drum n' bass never the rwo combined though evil evil evil.

ok i am not really into drum n' bass so i am an outsider really. see whether you think it sounds like a "real" drum n' bass track or like an outsiders crappy impression on drum n' bass , i dont min insults.

Sounds like the drums are breakin' up.
I was under the impression that 'drums n' bass' stuff was a far different genre than this piece. I'd call it more light industrial trance. I like that rushed rhythm you get on that drum lick but I would've liked it more a tad less quantized. The gentle keyboard voicings in the background are a nice touch. I converted it to .wav to examine it in a .wav editor and where the 'breakin' up' sound starts I don't see the usual visual clues that are present in a distorted file. Sometimes my synth drum tones will start to sound muddy like that when I use two patches that don't work well together.
